The totals and averages at the bottom of each table are compared with similar data from the USA. This section also contains a history of the EU and details of the main EU institutions.
In addition to the EU section and 25 country sections, there is also an extensive glossary of EU terminology with explanations of over 1,300 terms and a long listing of over 900 EU acronyms and abbreviations.
The book has been written for institutional users and libraries. It provides a quick reference to a vast amount of up-to-date information on the EU and each member state.
