Funding within the EU

Volume 1: Funding within the EU

The 14th edition of the ECAS guide to EU funding for NGOs has been fully revised and updated. As well as information on the Financial Perspectives 2007-13, the arrangements for external aid and cooperation are also covered, including the European Neighbourhood Policy, and aid for pre-accession to candidate countries and the Western Balkans.

This easy to read guide helps NGOs to find their way through the wide range of funding opportunities offered by the EU, giving practical guidance on how to apply for funds, links to further information, and details of who to contact for each programme.

The guide comes in two volumes:

Volume 1: Funding within the EU

This volume includes useful tips for fundraisers; the new financial perspectives from an NGO’s point of view; funding programmes for projects within the EU, including citizenship, culture and civil society, enlargement, environment, consumer protection, social justice; structural funds and the cohesion fund; and a chapter on foundations and corporate sponsors which may provide extra or alternative funding.

Volume 2: Funding outside the EU

The second volume includes practical tips for fundraising for external projects including EU instruments for project management; external programmes for aid in specific interest areas, e.g. human rights, support to civil society, humanitarian aid, and to different countries, including the African, Caribbean and Pacific states; the European Neighbourhood Policy for neighbouring countries of the EU; pre-accession aid, for candidate countries and potential candidate countries in the Western Balkans; and a chapter on foundation/corporate sponsors funding.
